Sold in More Places 
Thanks to the new law, CBD consumers can buy hemp-derived products from more locations, including convenience and grocery stores. Minnesota now holds the distinction of being the first state in the country that allows general retailers to sell CBD. People who are unsure about these items don’t have to go into specialty shops anymore, which can be intimidating for some. Now, along with their bread, butter, and milk, they can pick up some CBD.
Included in More Items 
The new Minnesota law also enables manufacturers to put CBD in more items. Since some of these products might be more enticing for younger people, only adults over 21 can purchase them. Additionally, packaging must be childproof and tamper-proof. Manufacturers must label these products with, “Keep this product out of reach of children.” Further, items can’t look similar to products typically marketed to children. 
Enhanced Testing 
Since CBD products will be more readily available, they face greater scrutiny, including enhanced testing. To ensure products are safe and natural, manufacturers must test them for heavy metals, fertilizers, mold, solvents, and pesticides. Consumers can trust that their products have no unwanted additives.
